I've been on AA flights where the published info was "snack" and we were offered the same as flights where the itinerary reads "lunch." It's hit or miss. Usually with snacks they serve cookies and with "dinner" they will serve cheescake or something. I've even been on flights were the published info was "beverages" and we were served a hot meal.
