The A model saabs are the ones used on the shortest hops from MSP and DTW. Those are the oldest and therefore probably the most shabby. Mesaba has embarked on a new aircraft cleaning program, both inside and out. It seems that NW wasn't/isn't doing their job grooming our planes so outside sources have been found. The A's are starting to be returned to the leasing companies as we speak. They'll all be gone by 2004.
