Coffee table schmoffee table. Rip out the pages you need for the attractions you plan to visit, and once you've seen somewhere and bought the T-Shirt, the relevant page has served its purpose and can be torn into pieces to be thrown like confetti on your way out. This is the only way to use a guidebook and anybody who disagrees is wrong.

But on a serious note.... I'll put in another vote for the Time Out Tokyo.
