I don't think it will have a significant impact. Bag match has been on international flights for years and it hasn't resolved anything.

I don't think they'll be going through each bag and comparing it to your boarding stub. They'll just make a list of pax who checked in and checked bags, yet didn't board.

If the bag misses your flight, it will take the next flight without you.
