This is very interesting indeed and would also like to know the exact measures. I tried to book a King Size at Marriott Munich Airport. Web site told me that it is not available at this property. Upon check in, the FOM told me that it was available for extra money....I must admit that I was already irritate tha the hotel is 30 minutes from the airport, that the shuttle is not free. So I refused to pay the extra for the King. I received a nice room with a Queen ....which looked like a King to me.
I hate this policy for asking extra money for what should be basic. If you are a large guy, you would need a comfortable bed. Next time any hotel ask me for exta money, we will measure the bed....I doubt that they have exact King size bed....in Germany.
