A different option for you would be this. You would have to have a Mileage Plus Visa card with a Choices balance high enough. You charge your United ticket purchased at united.com to your Mileage Plus Visa. Once you receive your Visa statement, a person may to redeem Choices to receive a credit for your ticket. Choices are valued at 1 cent per mile in this scheme. If you had a $267 ticket, you would redeem 26,700 Choices to receive the $267 credit on your Visa statement. You would still earn RDMs and EQMs for this ticket. I do not know if this is the best method for spending your Choices, but it is an option when you want a free ticket that earns both miles and EQMs. Happy travels.
