I am NW Platinum and do 95% of my flying on the Red Tail, but over New Years I was visiting Maui and ATA (out of LAX) was just too much chaaper than other airlines so I thought I would give it a try.

I was surprised how little was here on ATA.

Check in was a little dodgy (although probably no worse than normal)... my bags were near weight limits and that was ignored (Which often does not happen on NW)... the plane (737-800) was in good shape, clean. The coach seat seemed pretty comfortable. Service was pretty good... they came through several times with soft drinks... offering whole cans and refills. They also circulated with water. I didnt buy any, but they sold food, headsets, pillow/blanket sets. Luggage was quick on both ends... all in all quite satisfactory.... so if you considering it.....^ ^
