The 12 Apostles is a lovely hotel, especially if you have a room facing the ocean. However, there is a limited amount of things to do at the hotel; I would stay there only if I had a car. (Lots to explore: Cape Town; The Cape of Good Hope & nearby reserve; Simons Town and its amazing penguin colony -- all within an hour or so of the hotel.) Still, I'm not sure I'd want to stay there for 4 of 8 nights in S.A.

I haven't stayed at Sabi Sabi Selati, but I have stayed in the Sabi Sands area and it's a very pleasant and game-rich area. According to e-gnu, the discounted rates at the lodge are $559 per person ($1118 per room) per night in May.

Frankly, I'm sure you could do better by planning the trip yourself. If you want to include a safari at a game lodge, you'd probably do well to use a travel agent familiar w/S. Africa.
