I am taking the Cambodia tour in the middle of my VN stay - hence the reason why I book the tour with a VN company.
OK... don't want to be pedantic or worry you unnecessarily, but did they actually say that the ticket(s) had been issued? If not (and I doubt it), then I think you should just re-confirm again after your tour company claims to have issued the ticket. I've had these situations in VN before - sometimes its impossible to nail everything down beyond any doubt - but it usually just works out anyway.

Bear in mind you will need a multi-entry visa for VN (normal tourist ones are single entry). It is common practice for the visa to be changed in VN prior to departure for Cambodia and I suppose your tour company will organise this. There is a thread running about this here:
