I have just phoned VN Airlines on the number you gave (an international call to VN from Australia) and they reassured me that yes i do have confirmed seats on business one way and economy the other way. So, I guess it is OK for the tour company in VN to issue 2 tickets, one for each way. As you said, I don't want to check in and be told that the tour company has stuffed it up and I need to pay extra to get on the flight. It is always a worry when you are in a foreign country. I have to pay the tour company a 60% deposit tomorrow and need to know this before I transfer the money into their account. Many thanks for the VN Airlines phone number.

2. Hi, Guy Betsy. I am currently in Australia and not leaving for VN until 3 weeks time. I am taking the Cambodia tour in the middle of my VN stay - hence the reason why I book the tour with a VN company. Since I am travelling with mum I don't want any hassle of booking the flight, hotel and guide separately. Instead, I am paying through the nose for a private tour for the 2 of us, knowing that everything will be organised - the only problem was the date because the time we are going to Cambodia is the peak period - just before the Lunar New Year. I checked with 3 tour companies and all said no economy class to Siem Reap from HCM City on the day we wanted, only business class seats left. But there were economy class seats on the way back to VN from Cambodia. I keep my fingers crossed that I am not being asked to pay business class fares to get back to VN from Cambodia!
