To the OP - there have been recent changes to the challenge program. AA has an e-mail which they can send you which has all the current rules in it. Some agents send it to everyone they enroll, others only send it if you ask for it. If you do not have this e-mail, call and ask that it be sent to you.

I have not seen the current e-mail (an old one is in the sticky, I wouldn't go by that one as rules have changed). What you should look for in the rules is any restriction that confines challenges to flights "marketed and operated" by AA. While you could have bought space on the same aircraft "marketed" by AA, you did not, so if challenges are limited to flights marketed and operated by AA (and I think this is the case) yours wouldn't qualify.

When you receive the e-mail, please post it on this forum, with a request that the moderators put it in the sticky in place of the one that is there, if it is different. That would be very helpful to all future challengers. Thanks.
