The question about a codeshare on AA metal is interesting, and I'm not sure what would happen if it were an earnings-eligible codeshare flight. since you are flying the codeshare, and the QF 'N' fare does not earn for AA, these won't earn any EQP either, so it will not count toward the challenge.
