We were not given the option to get our tickets posted out and as we are not traveling till the end of March I would think there would have been enough time to get that done. From what my BF said they claimed that they could not post them out cause the tickets would be 'created' in another country. I think time for another call to them about this.
Hmmm....there should be no reason whatsoever why the tickets cannot be mailed to the creditcard billing address. This is actually a much preferred solution rather than fannying about setting up a PTA. The 'created in another country' is a peculiar way of explaining that a PTA has indeed been setup. I would certainly complain that the booking has not been setup as you expected.

Do call them. BA's own offices in Italy should be able to print the tickets and have them sent to you direct, or at least to a hotel or other address you will be staying at in Italy.
BA (in the UK, at least) will be unable to mail tickets to any address other than the creditcard billing address. Whether someone in Italy would override this (despite it being utterly and explicitly against BA treasury guidelines due to fraud), I don't know. Nevertheless, I would hazard a guess that the answer would still be 'no', even in Italy.
