I remember the glory days of US aviation. That was when prices were controlled. Competition has not be good to the US passenger. We are told we are saving money, but flying just ain't much fun anymore-at least domestically.
Cheap and exploited??? Have you ever stepped on board a domestic Chinese flight? The FA's are certainly not cheap or exploited. In fact, it is seen as one of the most prestigious jobs a woman can have and the demand to get into the Aviation training colleges is immense.

Granted that flying domestica lly in the US isn't as 'romantic' as before, however, i think that has more to do with the exponential growth in demand, and the impracticalities of providing all the frills of a bygone era in current times.
