whatever reason that is, it would probably generate a no from me... unless i see an 'unaccompanied child' or an elderly. especially its CX we are talking about cuz you can ask for a seat. if you tell any FA, they will do it for you. But I think there is a funny thing about CX (or maybe all airlines). Once onboard and if there is any movement, they will try to do it 'locally'.
Once there had to be ~6 deboarders, they only offered to those sitting near the galley at the back cuz the staff resting room had no A/C! It was to london and i was in the afternoon flight.So I would have gone for it if its offered to me!
