I saw a new one related to this thread today on 419 (the much delayed 419) from YUL to YYZ.

A PAX sitting in 1A had his young daugther (aged 8-10 I would assume) come from Y to visit him. She sat on his lap for about 10 minutes. When the Flight Director offered him a drink his daugther (I assume it was his daugther) got one too. A few minutes later a FA brought out appetizers and asked if his daugther had a J seat and he said no so she did not get any food.

I don't mean to be harsh, but isn't this a little odd?
