I was flying on SQ from India to USA 2 weeks ago and SQ28 TPE-LAX was oversold. As I was very early in TPE, they asked my wife and I if we were interested in taking the next day's flight. This is what we were offered:

1) 9,001 TWD each
2) 1 hotel room plus transfers to and from airport
3) 2 Upgrade vouchers usable only on TPE-LAX segment valid for 1 year

The upgrade vouchers were pretty useless to me as it had to be that same segment and valid only for a year. We tried negotiating with SQ to see if we can get more $$$ instead of the vouchers but no luck. However, after some negotiating, they did offer to pay for all meals while we wait for the next day's flight.
