I've read the various sites on seat ratings, and am aware that the supposedly good seats for couples is 4EF.
However...we both prefer sitting on the side of the plane, rather than in the middle of the cabin.
Therefore, as a couple, should we choose 2AK, or 2A 3A? How far apart are the various seats? Can you see each other from either of these configurations?

I like 1AK but not possible any more unless you're both Gold
2A 3A can't see each other. Up to you whether this is good or bad
In any case, and it's hard to put this diplomatically, but are either you and/or your other half petite individuals who make up in evident ticket-buying power what they lack in width? If so, you can have lunch/dinner sitting opposite each other as the smaller of the two of you can use the buddy seat.
