You don't have to live in the US. In July, go to a Cingular Store (not a concession - but a company-owned store)

You will need a $750 deposit. You will need a US address and a US bank account or US credit card (if you bank with HSBC Premier they can sort you this no problem)

Other than that, whatever the phone costs and the 2 year contract monthly price

So if you wanted it SIM Free and assume the phone costs $500 and the contract is $60 a month for 2 years, you could get Cingular to unlock it for you if you may them nearly $3000 inc the deposit...
