I think that all of them can be worn in public. The "low rise pant" is a thicker material and the one I wear when I travel, as can look more dressy/professional. The "training pant" is thinner material (so I would guess could be a bit cold on planes) and more like workout pants. I definitely wear them out, but would not wear them to work.
