My apologies - my post should have stated "heated floors in the bathroom"

Erfurt is an historical city (back to medieval times) in Central/East Germany, about 25 km from Weimar, in the heart of the German State of Thuringia (it is about 100 km from Leipzig, and about 2.5 hours by ICE train from Berlin). Martin Luther was educated at Erufrt's University.

With all of its historical sites (including also Buchenwald), the Erfurt-Weimar area is well worth visiting.
