This is also what LH has told me twice when I asked them about it.

The itinerary LHR-(LH)FRA-(LH)SIN-(SQ)SYD in V will earn full miles (plus 25% bonus if applicable) for LHR-FRA-SIN, and no miles at all for SIN-SYD.

If you're booked in V on the SQ codeshare from FRA, on a ticket LHR-(LH)FRA-(SQ)SIN-(SQ)SYD, you would earn no miles whatsoever except for the LHR-FRA segment!

I agree that UA and AC are options, but both of these require a transit in the US, which I personally avoid like the plague. (AC's YVR-SYD is actually YVR-HNL-SYD, which requires a full immigration and customs check in HNL coming from SYD - I think on the flight to SYD, there is US pre-clearance in YVR, but I'm not sure. Either way, you'll get the full "felon" treatment including mugshots and fingerprints. )
