Pets as cargo/not as baggage - interline?
Hi all,
I realize I am asking a very specific question, but if anyone has any experiences or input, I would be most appreciative.
I am going to move soon from Washington to Yerevan. One possible route is through LHR, continuing on BMED to EVN. The flight from IAD-LHR would probably be UA, then a BA ticket from LHR-EVN.
I know that BA changed its policies last year and pets are no longer booked as baggage but as cargo. I assume this means I'll have to pay one fee to UA, then another fee to BA to get the puppy all the way to Yerevan. Does anyone know if BA will allow dogs to be interlined?
Does it make any difference that the second flight is operated by BMED and not BA outright?
Thanks in advance for any advice,
Mike
