We're on a cruise (repositioning Vancouver-Alaska-San Francisco) that gets to Skagway on Sept. 21st. Avis closes for the season on Sept. 15, and the only other alternative for a rental car to get to Emerald Lake is Sourdough Rental Cars. Has anyone had any experience with them? -- have read a couple of very mixed reports and would rather take the alternative of the White Pass Railway if this firm is not to be recommended. No other possibility for rental cars in late season??
