This is not that surprising. The unions could not agree between themselves on the pensions issue. The GMB had proposed a cap on all pensions of £50,000 pa, which clearly BALPA is not going to agree to.

If members do vote for industrial action, I guess the outcome of ballots by the other unions will influence the level of support for a strike. If all of the other unions accept the new proposals, the GMB will be isolated.
