Granted yesterday was a bad weather day, it was delayed yesterday for "Delayed due to weather-air traffic control", not sure if this can be fixed adding a few back-up aircraft at DTW, or if this is a chronic ATC problem?

You are probably right, the easiest way to fix this would be to cancel these flights.

I will be on the first leg of this flight next week MCI-DTW and will post a report.
