Definitely ain't happenin' IMO, unless 1) you are an Admirals Club member and have arranged with the AC to get you a pass (usually the previous day,) or 2) you get a fully refundable ticket for that day, secure a BP, and cancel when you are airside.

Thanks for the quick responses. The trickiness is that I'm not actually connecting but am waiting for my wife to arrive on a flight 3 hours later. I'd rather wait in the secure area (better restaurants, wifi, etc...) but looks like it ain't happenin'
