I've seen discussion on this board before about Alaska Airline policy in regards to being able to wear your headphones or earphones for taxi, take-off and landing, or should I say
not being able to wear them. The chatter here hasn't been extremely, how shall I say, positive in regards to this policy. So, for those of you that found it inconvenient not to be able to wear your headphones/earphones during these times, the policy has changed. Alaska Airlines FAA cabin inspector has agreed to allow us to allow our passengers to wear headphones and earphones during taxi, take-off and landing as long as the device itself or that to which they are attached is turned off. So, noise cancelling headphone wearing folks rejoice - you can now drown out the whine of those MD engines for during take-off if you happen to be seated towards the back...
