This is VERY different from the OP's post. A government RATE is extremely low compared to other rates offered at a hotel and the hotels should require an ID otherwise everybody would be booking the government rate.
To the OP: I wouldn't think this would be a problem. Call the *wood Consumer Affairs line as well before checking in and ask them to give them a call. I'm assuming your credit card, etc. has your name on it (same name as the reservation?). Also, just point them to this thread if they don't believe you - not like somebody would post something if it hadn't happened!
