I never thought I'd rave about airline bread and butter (AF)
Bread and butter is something I don't put much thought into when I eat airline food. Even the garlic toast in CX FC is passable, though interesting, but not much to rave about. That was until I flew AF long-haul BC yesterday. 2 wonderful breads for dinner. Choice of nice crustry mini loaves, chewy and moisy inside, or nice crusty slices of country bread again with that gorgeous nice texture. None of that dry stale stuff here. The butter wasn't ordinary butter but a Norman (Isigny sur Mere origin controlee) butter which was nice and sweet and had wonderful creamy flavour to it. Not only that but a nice big tub of it, equivalent to at least 3-4 portions of individual butter. For some reason, AF also offers oil and balsamic vinegar which isn't really needed.
Too bad the brown rolls served at breakfast weren't as good though the other breakfast pastries were top notch.
