The people I talked to said all of Europe was adapting the policy of using PIN #s with the CC. Has anyone else here had experiences in other European countries with this? I don't remember having any issues (i.e. they didn't require it) in England when visiting last summer.
I haven't read the thread but I can tell you that in Sweden there is a button called "ej kod" (no code) that you hit. The clerk will then often ask you for ID. This standard practice.
The only place that I have trouble is with unmanned gas stations..... one of my cards has a PIN code but I think the problem is that they treat as a cash advance so I try to avoid this.
