It does not follow. Even if there is no through fare, it may still be possible to have a through ticket (with combinable fares).

On the jurisdictional issue, if you bought your ticket in Sweden for a Swedish airline for a flight within Sweden, I very much doubt that you will be able to start an action before a UK court. If you bought it in the UK or from a UK travel agent, you might conceivably fare somewhat better on that front.
