Though the 777s may be the choice of aircraft for some, they are very noisy upon take off and general cruise levels. Whereas the Airbus A330 and A340 series are much more quieter both at take off and at cruise levels.

The 777 has a wider cabin than the airbus series which are virtually identical in every aspect, except for the A340-500 and A340-600 which are of course longer in length.
