The area is a NEAT place to vacation; plenty of crystal clear lakes for boating and fishing, golf, etc. If you're there during the cherry season, be sure to stop by one of the "roadside" stands; many farmers/farmer's wives bake homemade cherry pies. MMMMMMMMM.....ate one all by myself!

Speaking to the airplane issue, yes, a DC-9 is an upgrade from a Saab; the trip is over an hour from DTW in the Saab.
