That guy's talking utter rubbish. Such cullinary establishments serve an absolutely essential role: keeping tourists away from the decent restaurants!

Let them go to Chiquitos, TGIFs, AASH, Garfunkles, Chez Gerards, Poons, etc. Then I'll be able to get my favourite table at Club Gascon, Artubus (http://www.hardens.com/about/Excellence2007.htm - you really have to try it - excellent!!), Yauatcha, J Sheeky's, etc. without having to do a "DYKWIA?!?!?".
