IMO, there are only 2 things better about the Sheraton across the street: 1) it's where the pool is located, and 2) since the lounge is currently closed you can get a pretty complete breakfast at the restaurant. As far as renovated rooms, upgrades, or speed of checkin it's been consistently lower in my experience (over the past 4 years ~20 stays at the SNYHT vs 7 at SM). The remote control on my television has been broken the last 3 times I stayed there
