Instead of spending you time writing a letter I would suggest that you call and ask for the web support department. That is the area that will ultimately have to be involved with your issue anyway. @:-)
In the end, this is a business decision Delta has made. The web development will need to do what they are told, thats why I sent a nastogram to Delta's Customer service for screwing up something that was extremely good.
