The seat width itself doesn't bother me too much, though having the seat next to me empty makes flying a whole lot nicer. I'd feel that way even if the seats were 22" wide.

However, given your choice of two coach seats or one seat in Biz, I'd take the one seat in Biz anyday.

In Biz, even if there's someone next to you, there's no one touching you. The "hardware" between each biz class seat gives more privacy and prevents "big person spillover" and the arm rest is wide enough so that there's no elbow dancing needed in order to get your arm comfortable.

A few weeks ago I was flying coach in the exit row on AA. The seat next to me was unoccupied. The flight was empty and the whole middle section was pretty empty so people were spreading out and taking whole rows of 3 seats for themselves. A really terrific FA came up to me and asked if I wanted one of thse rows for myself and volunteered to grab one for me. Since it was a late afternoon flight I thanked her for her kindness and told her that I'd be sitting (reading & watching movies) and not trying to sleep, so I'd rather stay put and keep the extra legroom.
