At the DC-10 retirement DO, it was mentioned that the 742 is next.
Wikipedia says there are only 2 left in service, and those are used for the runs from Tokyo-Narita to Saipan and Guam. That may be the "beach" service - island holidays for Japanese who don't want to spend what it takes to get to Hawaii!
I don't recall whether we got a date, but if there are only 2 in service, it can't be
that far off. Who do we know in operations?
