A small update...

Hong Kong put on a modest fireworks display in Victoria Harbour on Saturday Dec. 30th, timed to coincide with the nightly Symphony of Lights show. Fireworks were launched from two sets of barges, one in front of the Renaissance Hotel and the other in front of the Inter-Continental at opposite ends of the Avenue of Stars on the TST waterfront. It was a nice little display, but nothing like you would see in Sydney or London.

In the end, we lucked out. We saw the small display in HK on Dec. 30th, and the full-on Riverside display in Bangkok on Dec. 31st.
