Your card (actuallythe Gold Pack with tags etc) might take 3-4 weeks to arrive. Your status change to Gold should show a week or so after you gain the qualifying mileage.

If you are travelling within 4 weeks of making Gold ie before yoru card arrives), you can (try) contacting THAI and asking for a letter certifying that your are ROP Gold so as to gain lounge access. +66 2 356111

My pack was sent by registered mail, but never arrived at my apartment in BKK - so I arranged for a new pack and I picked it up in person from head office. Changing your address during this process may well affect where the pack gets sent to. Contact THAI (phone or fax) and specify where you want them to send the pack....
