I have to say in the past I was all about the best deal for a hotel, no matter the hotel. However after having spent many nights in countless hotels, motels, hostels, b&b... I do prefer to go with what I have enjoyed most in the majority of occasions.

That would be the hotels that recognize my loyalty and give that that little extra when I check in because I am a member of their club (despite status) and do their best to make everything better for the stay.

Some go out of their way, some do the bare minimum, and some you have to remind about that free bottle of bubbly or the free movie...
