Hotwire hotel challenge

Airline-backed travel site Hotwire.com is offering a challenge to travelers: find a better hotel rate anywhere else for the same hotel and dates, and it will refund double the difference. The company has partnered with more than 4,000 hotels to help them sell unsold rooms, and guarantees its "specially negotiated" rates, which it claims are lower than those at all other Web sites, travel agents as well as the hotels, themselves. Travelers can book the rates up until 6 p.m. the day of check-in.
