I echo the sentiments in this thread that this hotel is outstanding in every way. The staff was very helpful, the concierge knew out stuff I would never have expected him to know like location of cycling stores. The room, an upgrade I believe was huge and beautiful. The amenity was delivered without question, a nice bottle of red wine (full size, unlike the 1/2 size at Vendome). The fitness centre while compact had top line equipment. The change rooms are excellent. Internet by the reception is free (did not have own computer). The location is to die for. Would say that the breakfast at the Vendome was marginally better.

As for getting in from Malpensa I would SKIP the train. It is now 11 E and it stopped 3 or 4 times for excessive lengths of time at various stations; certainly not express in my view. I took a bus on the way back from Milan Central Station and it took 52 mins to the BA terminal, the train was about 45 minutes. It costs 9E return if you pick up a flyer in the airport arrivals area, 5E each way otherwise.
