And furthermore it is actual miles, with NO first and Biz fare bonuses included too IIRC, which makes it even more different than some other airline "Million" plans which are far more lenient.

And most unlike AA where you get miles for credit card spends and all kinds of extraneous activity, UA is strictly BIS miles - no exceptions, except for the 500 mile minimum tweak.
