has happened to me and it took months to correct. my situation was that AMEX did have the incorrect # in the system. It sounds as though the issue is the same in your case. Every AMEX customer service agent I spoke to thought they were correcting the issue and told me they fixed it before I hung up when it fact it wasn't getting fixed. I would call an AMEX customer service again and ask to speak to a SUPERVISOR. Verify the amount of points Hilton points waiting to be credited. Again explain the issue and hopefully they will do what it takes correctly to have the points transferred. Once corrected there are no furthur issues.
