If you were looking to get your FFN or 25 check-ins legitimately why not alternate your stays between the Hyatt at the airport in Orlando and the Grand Cypress? You cannot have it both ways and as you said you never left the room you were in. If you stayed at the airport on day of arrival and departure and the GC in the middle you would have had three check-ins and 1 free night while complying with the rules of the program. The FFN is a great program and so is the perks with the Diamond status. I would hate to see Hyatt discontinue it because of people abusing the system. As you stated your husband was not a Diamond member and you were not paying the RC rates on the nights you had your husband registered it seems to me the hotel was being nice giving you the RC floor and perks.
What was done was within the rules. The only thing that might be a bit beyond the rules is getting the RC room (RC access) for the night(s) that was registered under her husband. Even then there have been reports that normally Diamond perks are granted when a Diamond member is staying whether or not he/she was the room's pirmary registered guest or not.
