What exactly do the T&C's say? I find it hard to believe that it has to be 24 hours only b/c I have checked out with a late checkout before say at 2 p.m. and re-checked in the following day at noon (<24 hours) which is perfectly acceptable so I don't believe that it can say 24 hours

Just be thankful your last name isn't smith, jones or white or something like that.. what do I know maybe it is LOL

Didn't GP say that the hotel can do this they way that they want too. I realize that GP sets the T&C's but what good are they if the hotel can do what they want and not follow the rules

I can see how this is a problem as you (actually hubby did) took away an upgrade that could have been given to someone else; however I agree its the hotels responsiblity to catch this at the time of check in.

I disagree - I don't think you earned this courtesy just by staying there like this; in effect you are (and most of us here including me do too) gaming the system. I would fight for it but never would indicate that I thought that I earned the courtesy when I'm gaming the system. I don't disagree with your fight, just the way you are phrasing it.

I sent an email to Karen and she has replied and confirmed my status for the year as well as informed me I didn’t do anything against the GP T&C
I'm lost here, if its ok per GP how can the hotel even question it? Just send them Karen's email and you would be fine I would think or am I missing something here?
