AMEX => Honors "incorrect partner number"
Has anyone ever had AMEX tell them that they are trying to credit the points but Hilton is rejecting it as an "incorrect partner number"?
I have 50k points with just the Hilton stay and over 75k coming from AMEX spend. It's been 2.5 months since I opened my AMEX and today when I inquired AMEX said Hilton is rejecting it as an "inccorect partner number".
I called Hilton and they said AMEX needs to update the number on their system. This is joint account with my wife and AMEX did originally issue us a Hhonors # in her name, but i changed that right away with AMEX (AMEX had no problem changing the partner # my account is linked to, just a problem trying to credit it).
So AMEX says it's Hilton's problem; and Hilton says it's AMEX's problem. Any suggestions? It's not like I can get both of them on the phone at the same time...
