When I first read this thread, my reaction was the OP had mistakenly posted his/her question in the wrong forum. Apparently not.

I have heard of visitors interested in buying a kris while in Singapore, but a "samurai" sword ? Unless someone tells me Singapore is the manufacturing hub for these swords, there is absolutely no cultural link between a "samurai" sword and Singapore. Its similar to someone asking where to purchase a boomerang in Singapore (BTW Australia is closer to SIN than Japan )
